A trip to jail

It was a Wednesday morning, we had all woken up early to lie out in the hot rays of Palm Springs and recover from the night before. We had a straight week to tan our bodies and relax, before spring break was over and we had to travel back home.

All twelve of us began to run around the small quarters of our rented house, when suddenly one of the boys stopped and asked where Cole was. Cole was the craziest out of our friends and completely unpredictable. We all stopped and looked around. We assumed he was still asleep so we looked in his room; when he couldn’t be found we started to look around the house thinking after the pervious night he might have fallen asleep in an uncommon spot. After about thirty minutes of thorough searching, Bryson’s (my friend that first spotted out that Cole was missing) phone rang. He answered, it was Cole. We all stopped and gathered around Bryson, after a few, curse words and exchange of “Where are you?” “What happened?” and words of astonishment, Bryson hung up and relayed the message to the group. Cole was in jail.

Last night he kept telling everyone that we should go to the casino a few blocks down from where we were staying, tiered and not able to drive we all declined. Turns out Cole took a cab to the casino, proceeded to drink and gamble which resulted in him streaking throughout the entire casino. When security was finally able to catch him, Cole violently resisted them. After security fought him to the ground, the police assisted in escorting him to jail The bail was 20,000 or jail time for 30 days.

We all sat in silence, knowing we couldn’t bail him out. We didn’t know if we should laugh or start to come up with ideas of what we should do. Some of the girls started to freak out. Should we call our parents? Should we go down to the prison? We were struck with fear and confusion. Suddenly, in runs an energetic, blonde haired boy, screaming and laughing: APRIL FOOLS! It was Cole.
